Boat Tour: Going to Anguib Beach
Moving onward with my boat tour at Sta. Ana, Cagayan! From Crocodile Island, we moved on to Anguib Beach. Ah, before we proceed any further, so you do not hesitate when you see the word "Anguib". It is pronounced as "ang-gib". Don't bother about the spelling or the presence of that letter "u". That is just how we are in this country after being colonized by Spain for more than three centuries!
And more trivia: Anguib is on mainland Luzon. Yes, Anguib Beach is not on an island. It is part of the big island of Luzon and sits at the northern tip of Sta. Ana, which is the northeastern-most town of Luzon.
So why a boat tour? Aba malay ko hehe! It was part of the itinerary so I took it. Maybe (Probably) that place was hard to reach by land in the past, so that, the locals are or have been used to going there by boat.
Anyway, it took us 32 minutes to cross the sea from Crocodile Island...That white strip? Nah, its not yet the beach. That is a wave crashing in the middle of the sea! Yes, there is something like that, and this was my first time experiencing it. The waves rumble and crash unto the sea (not a beach) forming those foamy whites. So boats have to skirt around, instead of going straight. Maybe that portion is a shallow area.
Too near yet too far...We were headed there, but the crashing big waves were in the way. So our boat still had to keep sailing a bit more to the left, before we could turn a sharp right, where there were no crashing waves (just big waves hehe), then sprint for the beach.
Not for the nerbyoso like me hahaha (kape pa more)!
Eto, we were past the crashing waves... mahinahon na si dagat in shallower waters...
The approach... I was getting excited...
Aaaand... touch down!
