Kuting Reef Resort and Spa
A wonderful place! This is the entrance façade, also the 'default' photo-op area! The driveway circles to that foyer so you have a grand entrance at the door, under a roof. Parang Manila Hotel ba!
The 'Baybayon Restaurant' is behind this building out on the waterfront...This is a big and breezy place. Not only good for a meal, I can sleep anywhere here hehe!
Look: my driver talking to the young (OJT) waitress. Haagii nga pag parayaw...Surprising - we were the only ones in this place on a Sunday noontime. Well, a rainy July.
I cannot complain... all the more that I liked this place... real peace and quiet...With good food in a well appointed place, I said I can live here. That tinola (fish) is good!
From our table, I looked out front to the sea, and this is what I saw...The beach may not be white, its not even fine sand, but the views are fantastic just the same. Ehem, not to mention I composed that pic well! Imagine, if it wasn't a gloomy day.
I looked to the right, and this is the nice view...There are more kayaks, even a paddle boat over at that end of the beach. Hmm...
I wondered about that ridge... if I had a little hut up there... ganda di ba?!And whoa, two guys are walking on the water below... maybe they are picking seashells? Or probably even catching fish on the shallows. Ah, the life! Then again, that small chunk of rock on the water could have been part of, but has fallen off that ridge. Landslide!!!
I also looked to the left, and this is what I saw...Thre's also a ridge on that side, and there's even a little hut. So this is like a cove. Wow!
I looked up, and there was even a polopokter (helicopter) to complete my view...I said to the driver "bilisan natin andyan na sundo ko", and the young innocent (OJT) waitress worriedly said "talaga sir, aw sige i-serve ko na po ang dessert ninyo" hahaha!
After lunch, I was drawn by this interesting grassy greens and tall coconut trees...Just looking at it, I could already imagine this area must be a fun place for families and even officemates to play around, right?! Bonding, teambuilding, even parties.., why not?!
Hey even the concrete walking paths are interestingly instagrammable too!But oops! Look at that sign hehe. Well, I guess if you are a big group occupying all the rooms (there are just 10 I think), then you can have your boisterous fun on the grass!
These are the rooms, all in a row...All the more that I kept thinking this is an ideal place for groups. It evokes community living. Imagine you are perched on one of those terraces. You can easily see (even holler at) other companions in the other rooms' terraces. Hmm, not for Mayor and his mistress!
In one of those stairs, I saw these two little cuties...Unfortunately they are rather shy (afraid actually). When I called them, they scrammed!
I walked onwards and stumbled upon this OMG yes OMG...!See that little speck on the water? It's a bird diving for an insect. I wanted to dive too!
Then, a voice from behind: "Sir ala-una-y-media na, 4:30PM yung misa sa Redemptorist [Tacloban], dadaan pa tayo sa Macrohon, Maasin, Matalom, Bato, Hilongos, Hindang, Inopacan.." aba, nag-enumeration si Mr. Driver! So I cut the litany with "oo na, let's go"!
No other way but pass by Macrohon town center. That's next!
