Burauen Town Center
Alright folks, as promised in my earlier story, I am covering Burauen's town center this time. Just passing by - had a quick meeting with some folks and to see some little things!
That is the good looking frontage of their municipal hall. Nice and big. I might say one of the biggest I have seen in provincial towns so far. This looks like a capitol building!
But two things perplexed me looking at this building:
1) why closed and fenced off? shouldn't a municipal hall be open to the public, daily?!
2) why still use letter "V" instead of the real and actual letter "U"?
On Question 1), ano, me rally? First time I saw a closed pamahalaang bayan - the home of the people. Duh! On Question 2), lumang ka-artehan na yan, jusko 2015 na ngayon ano ba? Be realistic and true to the "word". It is not only misleading, it's also BADVY! Yak!
Oh, they're making an (even bigger?) extension to the left of above picture...A legislative building or something. Big and nice too, I think! It is 3 levels this time, and it looks like the roof is a multi-purpose deck too. I just hope they'll use the real letter "U" instead of a "V"! And good that this flank actually faces another park, that of the church!
The first picture above faces its own park. Nice greens, big trees, and Rizal monument...
The other bigger park, that of the church is this...
Oh, the church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. Now I know why that color...From the looks of it, I think they're reconstructing this church to make it bigger.
This is how the church insides looks... nice and simple...Pero malapit na ako maalibadbaran sa tingkad ng color blue na yan. Pigilan nyo ako!
Anyway, here's the priest's view... blue pa rin syempre heheheAh those balloons and the 'mock bell' are obviously from or for a wedding ceremony. Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!
Well anyway, Burauen is a big town (by land area), reason probably why they have a big municipal hall and making their church even bigger. There must be other things to see.
Thus, I think I'll be back for more. Meantime, let's go to La Paz and Mayorga!
