Cebu To Taipei Going Vietnam
This is the 2nd leg of Another Circle Trip. Let's Go!
For a 0710H flight, I was not early at the airport at 0552H. Not that late to cause any mess though. I know it isn't that crowded yet. But, I should have come a little earlier.Arrive early, to look around, and take pictures here and there. This is CEB T2, again!
Those windows look better with the 'giant parols' as Christmas Decorations. Nice!Oh come to think of it, I did not shoot anything similar to the above 2 photos, during the last time I was here before daybreak. The colors surely made me do it this time.
Well, I already talked about this "ugly" make of the floor tiles before, right? But that scene at left was new to me! I initially thought I saw a cabin crew walking. I realized, it is a standee lang pala, riding on a trolley being pushed by a staff hahaha!
Or is he, really? Why does he have a backpack and wearing a cap? Di kaya pasahero sya o taong labas, at naaktuhan ko lang na kinukulimbat niya si beautiful girl? OMG!
But I did not challenge him. Mas nanaig ang feeling ko, na sumusobra yata pagiging creative imaginative ko this early in the day. It must have been the Coke Sakto hehe!
Pero bahala sya kung sino o ano man sya hahaha! It's just a piece of carboard!
Let's move on!
Hmm, I think I have never seen these plants during my previous flights out of here. They look pleasing to the eyes, right? They are probably good for human health too.
We already described the check-in area before, so, let's fast forward to the gates!
I don't know with other people who have expressed their appreciation of this airport, but for me, this clear-glass-wall feature, is the most fantastic design element of T2.It illuminates the interiors with natural light, like that daybreak streak from the east.
Even the actual boarding area walls (2nd level) is mainly glass with artsy etching. The atrevida side of my brain said 'that's not etched glass, sticker lang yan'. Whatever. It looks cool to me nonetheless! Consistent with the roof design, it simulates waves.
Yes waves as in sea waves, ocean waves, surf, swell, alon, balud, bawod - as intended per design of the architect. But, I already interpreted that in Bohol last month, right?!
Alright, sige panalo na - since I have a strong bias towards transparent glass walls! It is not actually unique, as most airports have "glass everywhere' walls. But I guess the "form" or "shape" of this building, in general, makes it handsomely one-of-a-kind!
Even the gangway and aerobridge areas are also mostly glass-walled. Maaliwalas.Well yes, ceiling lights are still used since this was only 6:18AM. Medyo maaga pa! I actually even thought, we were boarded too ridiculously early for an ETD of 7:10AM.
Well, okay na yan, kesa naman delayed, di ba? Medyo boring lang din waiting inside.Ayan tuloy, by the time they did their 'safety demo', tulog na si kuya, nakanganga pa!
That demo was done when doors were already closed (as required). But it happens mostly during taxi time, not before pushback. Cabin crew probably did it anyway, as there was nothing else to do. Than passengers all sitting like hens - putak ng putak!
Inside me, I was like hollering 'Kapitan taralets na, ano ba! Excited na me!'! Yet I knew it wasn't happening soonest, as I could still hear and feel actvities at the cargo hold.
Did you know about that? Yes, they also have their alloted times down there. So, it is not just because you feel like boarding passengers, you should na agad-agad. System!
Well, even before pushback, I was already able to order my desired breakfast. Cool!Of course I chose the one at right, obvious ba?! I'm not used to having my carbs in a wet & soggy consistency like mashed potatoes swiming in a creamy sauce. Gerber?
Plus.., kaya ayoko lumalayo sa Asia, because I love rice. Kanin pa more!
Pushback finally came at 6:52AM. Hmm, that was 34 idle minutes in the plane. Not delayed anyway, so I just smiled it off thinking 'their passenger services manager and/or station manager must be a newbie, atat na atat eh! At pumayag ang piloto. Ta!
Quick taxi-out to Runway 04. Not so much air traffic yet. And at 7:01AM, lift-off!That unique wavy roof of Terminal 2 is really attention-grabbing even from afar, 'no? I myself love looking at it 'externally'. It is such a fancy-looking museum-like edifice!
Actually form-wise, I do also like its insides. But as a frequent traveler, I have a minor issue as to its use-of-space and integrity for real 'passenger comfort & convenience'.
Anu-ano ang mga yon? Ah I've covered them in previous trips such as ito, ito or ito.
Up in the air, 17mins after takeoff, kainan na! Oks yan, as this is just a 2.5hr flight. Does it look like the photo in their menu above? Not exactly, but it looks yummy and smells so savory enough to me. Always does. Therefore, without further ado, banat!
If you've been reading my previous stories, you would have noticed, that every time I fly on AirAsia, where I need to eat an inflight meal, it's always beef tapa. And ends...Yep, it always ends that way. Do I need to tell whether I like that kind of meal or not?
That just-opened photo, I shot at 7:19AM. The all-done version, I clicked at 7:26AM. I should even adjust that time duration, to give-or-take a few seconds or milliseconds (for picking-up & putting-down my phone to shoot the pics) for elapsed time accuracy!
I could become a record-holder here... ang pinakamabilis lumamon ng inflight meal!
And the story is not even over yet. At 7:32AM, this came via a grinning stewardess:Yes, the chicken teriyaki, an additional set to the beef tapa that quickly disappeared!
I can't remember now, as to 'exactly when' did I re-order for this chicken teriyaki.Did I ask for it while eating the tapa or did I order it during the 6-minute interval? Da!
Whatever whenever howsoever! The truth is: this was not the first time it happened!
And to think, that I am not a breakfast person (as I keep claiming)! Well, maybe I did not eat well last night at AA BBQ in Pusok. Or maybe I was thinking: better for me to eat food that I'm already familiar with, than be guessing while transiting at Taoyuan.
Ah, speaking of Taoyuan Airport, we arrived at about 930AM instead of ETA 0950H.
But let's talk about it next, as I transit in Taiwan going to Vietnam.
Coming up soonest!
