Back In Binogawan Beach

After about two years, I was back at Binogawan Beach! Yeah yeah, the same Binogawan Beach Resort that I visited long ago. This time though, I stayed overnight, so I got to experience how it is in the dark!

As before, the views are still breathtakingly panoramic.

This time, I walked, ran and had crazy fun on the beach. The shore is all of very fine sand, so it is never difficult to walk/run on as it's not very soft for your feet to sink to the ground like at many beaches. It's even ideal for team games or group activities. Plus, the sand does not get very hot under the sun too!

The water is clean and wonderfully clear blue. This is the pacific ocean in the first place. But take note of that little boat on the second photo above. I didn't know that it was there waiting for us! (next story)

The wow factor at this beach that I wanted to tell you (now) my dear readers was this.., the "nightlife"!

Yes that was the moon rising. Not even a full moon (this was 8:11PM) but fantastically bright!

I could take a shot at it with my phone (a mere Samsung Note 5) and it was acceptably clear!

That last pic was even zoomed a little bit so I could avoid the white baluster in the shot. Still good for story-telling purposes, right? I was able to capture a longer streak of moonlight reflected on the water!

Pardon the excitement, but on the first 2 of the "moon pics" there's a star in each of them! I can't see it as posted, but in my originals, they're clear. Why my excitement? This phone hasn't done that yet, ever!

To satisfy my curiosity, I called a photographer friend (yes in the middle of the night) to ask how come this godforsaken talepano suddenly showed me interesting night-shots eh I have been using this for a long time now, and I have the same shaky hands! The reply was "it must be the location, nasan ka ba"!

I interpret that as the skies in this area of Eastern Samar are still so fresh clear of smog! Well, yes too, there aren't many lights on land like in the cities as their brightness makes evening photographs fuzzy.

On top of that, Binogawan Beach is (generally) very quiet at night. This is a rural area in the first place. You can still experience basking in the moonlight while singing with a guitar accompaniment. Harana ba! But note I qualified the sentence above with "generally" because, although we had two guitars, we also had a big loudly blaring karaoke machine as part of the package (we occupied all resort rooms)!

I could not complain at how irritatingly loud the karaoke was - because it was ours, OMG! And I do not have to mention at what time the singing and dancing ended. Herearounds, townsfolk call it "paaga"!

By the way, people may spell it Binogawan or Binugawan, but locals pronounce it as Binugawan.

Let's go to an island next!
