Road Accidents Cause Heavy Traffic Because...

5:12PM, National Road, Brgy. Pawing, Palo Leyte before McDo and Shakeys...
Another day in the life of this our traveling public. Where there is a crowd, therefore crawlingly-slow or stagnant vehicle traffic, something untoward must have occurred.

Meron nga! My driver usually says "sana walang namatay". I heard him say that now.
Too easy to tell which part of the road has an issue - look to where the uziseros are!

Anywhere something like that happens, ang daming tao, but only 1 or 2 are helping.
Ay pastilan, I saw a motorbike with two babies - halatang the parents are just uzi! In fact, all the "single motorbikes" in the scene have no business being there. Uzi lang!

See that? Only the man in black sando seem to be helping the accident victim/s.
Vehicles cannot easily pass-through because of many people and vehicles stopping by just to literally look without offering any help. So, movement unnecesarily crawls.

These "waray labot" people and their vehicles, not the accident, causes traffic.

Readers should all be aware of this when going to Puerto Galera or any of the destinations en route to Batangas City! There is an anomaly that the bus company (or probably just their employees and without the management’s knowledge) has been perpetrating. Last February 25, 2005, being a holiday, I, together with three of my friends decided to go to Puerto Galera for a much needed weekend break. We decided to take a JAM/Tritran bus by reason of its station being conveniently located at EDSA near Kamuning which happens to be nearest our residences. My Negros Oriental Tour: Guihulngan City This is a city! And like Canlaon I said “why is this a city?”. Ah, them legislators have a collectively weird trend of thought so we better leave them to it. Fact is, this is one such city in my list where I have not seen (on the web) anything worth visiting at city center other than the nearby beach resorts which are of course nothing to harp about if you consider the places in this country that I have been to. Well, if I was harping in previous blogs why Cabadbaran, Borongan or Tabuk are cities, check this place out hehe! It can easily pass as a barangay of Baybay, Bogo, Catbalogan, Naga, Carcar or even Mati and Tayabas! Nah, if you thought I meant that for a negative remark, it is in fact the reverse. What’s wrong with my umbrella?

Another reader sent me email just recently asking why her umbrella was ‘confiscated’ at the airport. I received similar messages in the past and we better get this out to everyone for clarity. While you may think those concerns are petty (yes, they usually are since some umbrellas can be bought at just 11 pesos), some of the concerns are not really about umbrellas but the integrity (if any) of airport personnel. Here we go… The recent email sender says the officer at the second x-ray (airport people call it “security check area”) asked her to remove the ‘folding umbrella’ from her laptop-case and kept it telling her it was not allowed. Our passenger further says she was surprised it was taken just like that, but did not anymore bother since this was a military man she was in front of and the umbrella costs only about P150.
