Banago Beach Resort
This is that other of the 2 resorts I accidentally discovered, as told in my previous story. Banago and La Luna Beach Resorts are not easy to find, since there are no signage at the corner of the road before the Sulangan Bridge where you turn right. And it's a dirt road going there, one would initially think 4-wheeled vehicles may not fit on the narrow path!
Don't worry, whatever vehicle you are in, you'll make it there without a hitch!
This is a view of the resort's "gate" from inside the compound...About 200 meters walk to the right is La Luna Beach Resort. Add another 400 meters onwards and you will be out into the highway going to Guiuan, or the Sulangan Bridge.
Anyway, in Banago, the highlight for me was this structure by the water's edge...They do have a name for it but I forgot. Basta, I just know that it is such a great relaxing feeling sitting or lying down there, deep in thought or slumber. It's breezy too! Plus the sound of little waves under the floor... hypnotic! Also a clear view of the setting sun!
I think I heard one of my companions call this place a restaurant. I won't disagree...Although it also fits as a function hall by the water. Oh ha?! In fact, vaious events - from birthdays to seminars - have been held here, says the caretaker. There's a karaoke, btw!
The guards! They like being cuddled. There's three of them and they look the same...The third one was busy trying to climb my foot as I took this picture. Kawaii!
The caretakers have this little store. You won't have to go far if you need anything! They also live here (a couple with children and grandchildren), so it's like a homestay!
One of the two living rooms. This one faces the sea. Very nice views from here...You can sit or laze on the floor even without mats. It's always clean and cool to touch.
The dining area - which we never got use even just for coffee! You know why, right?!Yes, we loved that breezy outside 'restaurant' described above. This one is airconditioned!
The other living room a.k.a audio-visual room! This one faces the garden and entrance. Also cool to laze around here as this is just by the stairs going to the second floor rooms.
Upstairs, the loft-like corridor that connects the rooms (not sure if it was 4 or 5)...This upstairs portion where I stood to take the pic is above the front door, so it is overlooking the dining room (lower portion of photo) and the living room with a view of the sea. That white panel facing the dining table is just a divider, but on the other side (facing the living room) is some kind of a nook with another sala set! Cozy place, right?
Just the opposite side of the photo above... Visitors can use those delicate glassware...But no, we never touched them... you break it, you pay for it, and those are branded!
My bedroom with a 'dance floor'! That's our 'pet description' as rooms are very spacious!Ah, that dark molding in the cornice (where ceiling and wall meet) is just about the level of my shoulders hehe! It feels like an attic. But it goes high up at center of the room.
Same room, viewed from opposite end of my bed... those are cabinets beside the door...This white frame at left is the door to the "CR" (you can see a snippet of the toilet bowl)!
Here's one more view... same room, viewed from the left side of my bed...Note there's a sink and mirror by the window. That's aside from what's inside the toilet!
Okay, since I know I will be coming back to this area again and again soon, I'll try to stay at, or catch a glimpse of the other rooms! Unable to do it this time around because... my companions' things (ang daming abubot!) were strewn all over those/their rooms!
Let's go elsewhere in my next story!
