DFA Mandaue

Seen during my roam today...
The passport office located at the 4th level of (Metro) Pacific Mall in Mandaue with a dedicated guarded entrance and information desk at ground floor - outside the mall.

Not that I need them anytime soon (2 years pa), but nice to know where they are.

Oist, I even went to the information counter and read things like this:
That's one benefit of roaming around. If I was just at home doing nothing, I wouldn't have known/seen specific and implied information especially the "lining up" portion.

Actually alarming 'no? Yug makakita ka ba ng "5PM to 6AM of the following day"? Ay, that only means if you don't go to the mall at an inconvenient time, you'll have a hard time applying for, or renewing a passport. Lining-up pa lang yan at the mall (not DFA).

Oh well, part of are the signs of our times. At least, we know what to expect.

What place comes to mind when you hear the phrase "Pink Sisters"? Hmm, yes, Baguio, then Tagaytay - in that order, right?! But did you know there is also such a monastery in Cebu? Bayanihan Spirit Alive, Altruism 140301

What Is Bayanihan? Helping others they don't even know , and for no apparent reason , other than " because helping feels good ". It still happens. I still see it here & there. May it be forever & ever . I'm encountering these mainly at the Yolanda/Haiyan-devastated areas of Region 8, with the help that keeps pouring in from everywhere, from all walks of life, in all forms . Bayanihan Misnomer ! I just realized, many of us (yes, me included) thought/thinks that bayanihan is about "lipat-bahay" or heavy manual labor things associated with constructing or building. All because, we saw in our school textbooks; we saw on broadsheet editorials; that bayanihan was always portrayed like this: mga taong pasan-pasang ang isang bahay! Bohol – A Great Tour!

If you are looking for the best guided and annotated tour in the Philippines, you will only find it in Bohol. I will stand on that declaration with my chin high up! Howsoever you arranged for it, your tour will be the same - a grand look around the various natural and man-made wonders of the place, PLUS a barrage of historical information you will itch to write every detail down on a notebook. Best if you bring your palm or XDA! I have taken this tour three times (in three years) and each of those times I got so excited and too absorbed into the sceneries, the stories and the histories about the place.
