Vientiane Walk - Lessons from a Kinder School

Across the Vientiane City Pillar, there's a Ministry of Public Health Kindergarten.
Office and school hours already caught up with me, as I started my walk back to the hotel. Aw nice, for I saw this kinder class, probably still on their first hour - playtime!

Aliw watching the little tykes romp & play around. But many, (I think), seemed to feel like they should still be at home and in bed heheh! Teacher is that girl in the middle.
I sought her permission to take that photo. She even asked the kids to say hi to me! Oh yes, they do speak English - at least hi, hello, I'm fine, thank you, and wave at me!

Actually, my real palaisipan wasn't those kids, but the public health ministry having a school! Kung mala-'daycare' yan, di ba dapat sa 'social work' or 'education' ministry?

Curious lang (kaya nag-atrevir nanaman). I knew though, this isn't a topic for the dear teacher to answer, so I didn't ask her na. Mataas na antas na ang usaping ito heheh!

Bakit nga kaya, 'no? Baka experimental? O kaya laboratory school?

Oh the beauty of travel - we see many things na ang sarap usisahin (uzi nga eh)!

Interesting translation.
Eto pa: they have a Ministry of Health - the main office of which is about two blocks away, southeastward from this place. Is that different from Ministry of Public Health?

But I answered my question (I hope I'm correct) saying: no, they're one and the same!

It probably has something to do with the translation of āļāļĢāļ°āļ—āļĢāļ§āļ‡āļŠāļēāļ˜āļēāļĢāļ“āļŠุāļ‚ (Kasuang Sathalanasuk) because: Kasuang is ministry, Sathalana is Public and Suk is Health.

Kung tatanggalin mo si Sathalana dahil wala naman "public" sa Ministry of Health, it will become Kasuang Suk na di naman masagwa, medyo nakakatawa lang ng konti.

Ganito kasi.., Suk (āļŠุāļ‚) also means well-being, kapakanan, welfare, happiness, joy, etc. Now, if you say Kasuang Suk, it can mean Ministry of Happiness or Ministry of Joy!

Aliw pa rin hehehe, kaso baka wala nang mag-pagamot ng physiological ailments!

Nice find. Na-alala ko pa tuloy ang Isan Language ko of yesteryears hahaha!

Anyway, to answer my inquisitive atrevidang kakulitan, Laos Ministry of Health and Ministry of Public Health, or MinistÃĻre de la SantÃĐ Publique are one-and-the-same!

It depends on who is translating, basta Ministry of Health ang official.

BTW and FYI, there are at least two (2) countries that really do have something like a "Ministry of Happiness" - Bhutan (since 1970s) and United Arab Emirates (2016)!

Many things to ponder about.

All because napadaan sa isang kindergarten!

Philippines, Oh My Philippines!

A vow to roam the country... Yes, your PinoyTraveler (that's me) is not at all religious but just the same made a "solemn" vow to roam the Philippines as much as I can and as long as I ever live (whichever ends first - as if they don't go together hehe)! Sabin Resort Hotel Overnight

Let me start this blog entry with the word "finally"! That means, I finally got to stay overnight (again) at Sabin Resort Hotel, where I had time to take photos, and time to tell my story as I do so here and now! I am not sure I have seen this big signage in my past visits.., have I already? Ah, maybe this is new! That is by the side of the highway, right side if you're going south to Albuera, Baybay etc., although the gate to the resort itself is still some 100 meters from this area, on a public little street that turns left. This is the "gate". And that announcement / advisory actually surprised me, this being a good hotel.., Ah, that "bringing of food and drinks" dadada is an outdated autocratic commandment of yesteryears many a 5-star hotel would rather keep mum about - since they're selling rooms not "Chippy" or "Coke"!
