Glan To GenSan

Image
Let's go back from Glan to General Santos City , but not yet home to Cebu. I was not done roaming! The picturesque Sarangani Bay is to the left on this route, but I could still see most of it at front seat. If you look closely at that pic, part of the creamy-white-sand beach can still be seen. It is a long coast . This is Sarangani-Davao Del Sur Coastal Road . Nice pavement, nice views, and, I saw horses again! It suddenly became gloomy. Rain seemed to be about to ruin my day! Yet, the views were still grand... This strip of road between Glan and Malapatan is known to be a favorite viewing area for tourists... That is why there are a scattering of tourist view points and this corner is most famous of them all... This is also the boundary between the towns of Glan and Malapatan. Note: this is the northernmost point of Glan. Its southernmost tip is at Brgy. Batulaki, that is about 70 kilometers to the southeast, in the southern tip of Mindanao, by Glan's boundary w

Gallivanting Around Glan

Image
On my way back to General Santos City from Isla Jardin Del Mar , I of course, had to pass by Glan town center, so I could ride a VHire. I caught this opportunity to look around Glan poblacion - just the places near to their 'E Alegado Transport Station'. Actually, 'anything' in this serene town proper is just nearby. What caused me to roam a little and have a look around? A number of lovely old houses... There were others more that looked interesting to me, but I felt uneasy taking pics just 'here-and-there' as I seemed to be attracting "glances and stares" from locals, and I didn't know how to interpret those. Kulba oi! Aba, mahirap na, baka nakakasakit na ako ng damdamin hehehe! Those stares and glances felt like coming from 'just curious' rather than 'offended' eyes. But I was not really very sure of that heheh. And I still felt uneasy anyway. So, I stopped shooting residential houses. This was a normal, regular,

Isla Jardin Del Mar Resort, Glan

This resort isn't in the now getting famous Gumasa Beach . This is further and farther south.., probably about 5 kilometers or so from Gumasa, therefore something like 10 kilometers from Glan town center. But Isla Jardin Del Mar was a good choice, recommended by some friends - and websites! I don't have many things to say about this resort, except that it's a nice hideaway. Let me show my photos instead! The beach is one of the best that I have seen on Mindanao's mainland so far... These were all afternoon shots leading towards sunset... And although cloudy, sunset was also nice (a guest told me it was even more beautiful yesterday). After that 'sunset watch', on to dinner, and a lonesome muni-muni by the beach, under a moonlit night, I tried to shoot photos, to no avail hehe! Cameras these days still can't capture what our eyes can see. But daytime (especially in the mornings)... this vast resort has a lot for your cameras to get busy wit
