Te Amo Boss, Catarman
After that 'sumptuous' dinner at Yu Huan Seafood Palace, we strolled around, curious to see how's an evening like at nearby areas (from GV Hotel) in the Catarman town center.
And I don't remember what came to our minds, but we ended up at this restobar called "Te Amo Boss". Maybe the new building, or the lighted signage, or since it's on 2nd floor?
Nice clean place, but no people around. I also "attributed" that to being a Thursday hehe!
We thought it was closed, but a waiter welcomed us. So we entered - kahiyaan na lang!
There were 3x the number of staff in this place than customers - me and the driver!
That's 3 of them, plus the one serving us, plus there were kitchen crews that kept peeping into the dining area where we sat - we wondered what they were curious about.
And there was this "official meeting" - I think that's the chef and... their manager?
The setup is cute - as you enter, you immediately see all those orange-colored fixtures (in the pics above). Those are the inner areas and looks to me like their "restaurant side".
Towards the stage up front, furnishings take on a darker (black-and-white) ensemble...
I take it as this is the "bar" and/or "cafe" area - complete with curtains definitely expertly designed by your atrevidang lola! Complemented by two of her pinag-lumaang carpets!
That wall, by the way, and that on the right side are all glass, mind you!
This corner has a very good view of the intersecting streets down there! Good for people watching! The reverse is true of course. Passers-by can see you! See & be seen! Bongga!
Now now... a waitress ushered us to the table nearest that "performance stage", o ha?! So I asked what time their band would start playing. She said there's none tonight, bukas pa. Argh! But she was quick to entice us by saying we can sing on videoke up there haha!
I joked at her saying "ako kakanta? gusto mong umulan?" and she answered "okay lang" hehehe! I said, me I don't like rain! But I asked the driver if he wanted to sing. Nag-pa-cute, ayaw daw! So we just had 1 beer each and left. Kesa magtitigan kami buong gabi!
Oh well, this could be a good enough night place. But if they only have customers on a Friday, I guess this will not be a sustainable-enough entertainment business endeavor.
