Cebu To Clark, Going Panglao

Image
In just 6 days, here I was, flying from Cebu to Clark again, as transit passenger again, though not going to Boracay this time. I was on my way to Panglao Island, Bohol. Hectic? Nah, not really. I'm enjoying it! As they say... if you love what you do for work, it does not feel like work at all. True! But, why did I fly to about 700 kms northwest, when I was just going to about 84 kms southeast? Ah eh, I already mentioned in a previous story , that those circumstances happen when you know what to do! In fact, for this trip, I had not just 1 but 2 same-day flight transfers, and it was all worth the while! I flew Tacloban to Cebu to Clark to Panglao (3 flights) for a total cost of only PHP8,609 which already included prime seat reservations for each flight! That price is comparable to any other means. And if you're meticulous, you would have not

Boracay Nights

Party like there's no tomorrow! Aherm... I would have said that years ago, for in fact that was what I would usually do. Years ago haha! But I guess this thing does not even have to do with age. It's more on the "sawa factor" - meaning you have had enough! Kind of a 'the-same-old-nightlife-on-the-island-fatigue'! It is true. I'm not bragging! Don't get me wrong.., there are too many nightlife options on the island, sometimes even too many of the same. But if you've been visiting at say 2X or 3X a year, at times even 4X or 5X (kasal dito, birthday doon, team building nanaman, and relatives na nagpapasama), it becomes harder to find excitement! Not that I've literally been to all those places. But for me (I think for many of us) Boracay Nights does fall under the "law of diminishing returns" reality! Sorry po, estudyante ako ni Kumareng Winnie nyo! Anyway, since it now appears to be my 'responsibility' to keep telli

Boracay Beach Walk

Things change... people change. That includes what we do (or keep doing) when on an island getaway like Boracay. There are things we now say "pass" to, and there are things we "still want" to keep doing. Hmm, I think I worded that paragraph nicely. A way of saying: somebody is growing old (and wise ha)! Aruu, sa madaling salita... tumatanders na, di na kaya ang physical fun adventures katulad ng banana boat, cliff jumping, zorb, fly fish, wind surfing, jet skiing, kite boarding, parasailing, kayaking etc., etc.! Well, at least dalawa kami hahaha! But we can proudly say "been there, done that" [in our youth]! Anyway... Here's one fun (and insightful) sample day we spent on the beach, that I dedicate to the dear "golden generation" (and those who insist they're still young and active, but most definitely on the way there)! After a hefty free buffet breakfast at Astoria Current (I'll have a separate story about our entire
