Nothing much really, just something that titillated my imaginative brain haha! I thought the sign meant “if you want sex & relationship, please ask for assistance”! On second thought, it really does mean so, right?
Yes, it does. Books on the topic that is, not the real makamundong pagnanasa!
This is at a bookstore am fond of visiting, am glad they have a branch in Cebu (Ayala Center)!
Readers should all be aware of this when going to Puerto Galera or any of the destinations en route to Batangas City! There is an anomaly that the bus company (or probably just their employees and without the management’s knowledge) has been perpetrating. Last February 25, 2005, being a holiday, I, together with three of my friends decided to go to Puerto Galera for a much needed weekend break. We decided to take a JAM/Tritran bus by reason of its station being conveniently located at EDSA near Kamuning which happens to be nearest our residences. This decision to take Tritran ruined our weekend! We were at the bus station as early as 5:30AM so we can take the 6AM trip. We happily rode on bus number 727, a yellow JAM liner. The aircon was great – even too cold and the bus was clean. It got readily full to capacity so we left by just about 5 minutes past 6AM. Upon departure, the “conduktor” distributed tickets without asking for our money yet. After he has given tickets to everyone, he c...
This trip took me more than 6 hours instead of the usual 2.5 to 3 hours. But I'm not at all complaining! I would like to consider this 'experience' as a 'culture adventure'. When I say culture here, I don't mean the indigenous nor the makaluma nor the mala-peninsulares, conyo and pasosyal. Because they're all "cultures", right? What I mean is/was: I got to experience how the general public travel herearounds. I knew, the easiest way from Tandag to Bislig is via the vans. Especially in the Visayas and Mindanao, V-Hires are the fastest and easiest way to move. But, for this trip, my Rule No. 1 was: No V-Hire Rides. Why? Because I can't properly see the outside (to my satisfaction) as V-Hires are too low compared to buses, and veeery fast! I don't allow that if it was my first time in the area, AND if I had a choice hehe! My first time? Yes. I mean I have been to Bislig and Tandag many times during my younger years. But I flew unto them in...
Let's go! But... What Where When How? After asking around, I learned that it is only D'Turbanada Transport that has regular scheduled direct Tacloban~Palapag trips. So I went to find their terminal in the city. Easy to find because they are on google maps , and they have an FB Business Page ! They even have a people profile also on FB that looks like the most regularly updated. Click click click and... I wasn't satisfied, so, I went to their Tacloban Terminal, 2 days before planned departure. Why? Because I needed to know the differences between a big-bus , a mini-bus and van . Why? Ay, for longer trips, my long legs need to know! At the terminal, I was told it takes the van 6~7 hours from Tacloban to Palapag, but due to the waiting at San Juanico bridge, it at times becomes 8 even 9 hours. Hiyay! I knew that was a bit exaggerated. I noted that anyway, to manage my expectations. Then I saw these... all taped at various parts of the tellers' glass-wall...
