No PARK

This was at a fence in front of a residence along the famed Policarpio Street in Mandaluyong. Yes there is no park, just a tindahan hehe! Kuha?!

Oh well, the interesting warnings of our times!

Water Lily Garden, At Changi Airport

From Cacti let us go to Water Lilies! And we are still inside Singapore's Changi Airport. Oh yes, this is or was still part of my roaming around the vastness of this airport while in transit from Bali to Cebu! This 'Water Lily Garden' is more accessible than the ' Cactus Garden '. You don't need to go up or down anything as it's just at concourse level, near the duty free stores and coffee shops, also of Terminal 1. But mind you, everything about this garden are real vegetation (plants / water). Walang plastikan dito! Although also a real 'open air' garden, this one is probably just a fifth of the size of the Cactus Garden . That said, this garden always has a crowd of people around (passengers and airport employees) even at midnight down to the wee hours. Pink Sisters, My Cebu Experience

What place comes to mind when you hear the phrase "Pink Sisters"? Hmm, yes, Baguio, then Tagaytay - in that order, right?! But did you know there is also such a monastery in Cebu? Ah, well, not really Cebu City since it is already a few steps away from the boundary. It is in Mandaue City. Yep, that is the 'Adoration Convent of Divine Peace' - a monastery for nuns clad in pink habit, reason why its called 'pink-sisters' and I think you know all about that part, right?! Anyway, this convent (and chapel of course - that's my topic in the first place) sits in an urban neighborhood that is by the boundary of two barangays both named Banilad. Yep, Barangay Banilad, Cebu City and Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City! And that is along AS Fortuna Ave., - the famed strip where many notable restaurants and branches of virtually every bank in this country are located with or without ATMs! Beware of JAM / Tritran Bus

Readers should all be aware of this when going to Puerto Galera or any of the destinations en route to Batangas City! There is an anomaly that the bus company (or probably just their employees and without the management’s knowledge) has been perpetrating. Last February 25, 2005, being a holiday, I, together with three of my friends decided to go to Puerto Galera for a much needed weekend break. We decided to take a JAM/Tritran bus by reason of its station being conveniently located at EDSA near Kamuning which happens to be nearest our residences. This decision to take Tritran ruined our weekend! We were at the bus station as early as 5:30AM so we can take the 6AM trip. We happily rode on bus number 727, a yellow JAM liner. The aircon was great – even too cold and the bus was clean. It got readily full to capacity so we left by just about 5 minutes past 6AM.
