Sugbutel Family Hotel

I stayed at this hotel several times. I've even a bit witnessed how it has evolved into an interesting low budget adequate hotel that it is now. I realized though, I have not told a story about it yet. So here I go!

First off, the hotel lobby and front desk.

That counter at left edge of pic is a baggage depository, while door at right edge connects to a store.

Elevator floor buttons are labeled, but there are more room types in this hotel than what is shown!

Whatever those are for, I haven't asked (yet)! Maybe, if your room is on Mezzanine, it's Business Class, while if it is on the 2nd or 3rd floor, it's Executive Class regardless if it is a dorm type or double or twin!

Am not sure, if those elevator button labels have any relation to the price of your room hehehe!

Basta, this was my room during this stay. It has a single bed and a bit of space. Now windows.

I know I stayed at a smaller room with smaller bed sometime ago. No windows too.

I have also stayed at their dorm-type rooms that is very much like those in local passenger ships!

But this kind of 'single room' has its own (en suite) spacious enough toilet and bath..,

As can be seen on this emergency exit layout, only a few rooms have windows...

A funny thing... if you're observant, you'll notice that the two elevators have different floor labels!

Did you see it? But more important is this restaurant that's not identified in any elevator button!

This is where the free breakfast is served by presenting your coupon/s given by front desk.

I had two coupons for each breakfast (front desk girl said 'beacuse my room was good-for-two'). Da!

For other meals, there is this little canteen at ground floor that serves, well, 'canteen food'!

Can't rely on the restaurant upstairs since they're seldom open other than for the free breakfast. But if you feel like it, you can walk to either SM City or Robinson's Galleria, both just about 500 meters away.

This hotel, I observed, keeps on growing. That means they perennially have some renovation going on here and there. So be aware fellow travelers. Tip: as you check-in do ask front desk about noisy areas.

Okay and anyway, whatever the misgivings, I observed this hotel is clean everywhere everytime.
