The Right Way to Fly

Let’s take a pause from my roams folks, and give some pointers again to those who keep asking about my where, when, what, which, why and how. Lucky for me and you my fellow Pinoy Travelers, there is this new twist in the airline industry that will surely bring us more affordable fun!

In case you have not been in the loop yet, Zest Air is now flying Air Asia (or you might also want to call it ‘Air Asia is now flying Zest Air) – and the rebranded thing is called Air Asia Zest! Does it mean anything to us roamers? Well, a lot I must say. This means more choices, better value and enhanced services across a combined larger network of flights to/from Manila, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Kalibo(Boracay), Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran. etc., as well as hundreds of Asian destinations like the Air Asia home that is Kuala Lumpur or nearby Kota Kinabalu on the island of Borneo. How does direct flights to Shanghai, China and/or Incheon, South Korea sound to you folks? Soon chinggu, soon! Then again, they are a cheaper way for us to roam as far as the Maldives and Saudi Arabia or even down under!

Oh yes, the advantage of hassle-free airport check-in in Manila remains, as Air Asia Zest flies off (still at) the Zest Air hub of NAIA Terminal 4 (a.k.a. Domestic Terminal) where only a few airliners use. This technically means Air Asia in Manila is now easily within our ‘sphere of convenience’ instead of that usually arduous effort going to far Clark. I did also hear though that they’re not totally dropping Clark from their network but might make it a base for long-haul flights instead. Hey, they’re making Cebu as their second hub in the country too! Which makes their services all the more accessible to many folks in the VisMin areas, right?! Yeh yeah!

Okay now, where was I going? Ah maybe Tagbilaran again, this time straight from Manila to see how that 7.2 shaker mangled those lovely heritage sites, and probably also see for myself how we mere bloggers can be of any help to the victims. But I may also do Cagayan De Oro again, so I can explore more of the nearby places including Iligan.

Oh, it’s been 5 years since my last Palawan trip, so a peep of Puerto Princesa to slurp on that delectable Chaolong paired with French Bread would be a nice idea! Then again your Pinoy Traveler itches to see the many towers of Shanghai (the world’s largest in terms of population). And so too would Incheon be a fun visit so I can tell the many K boys and girls roaming in this our Inang Bayan at the moment, as to what is the real diff between theirs and ours!

Imagine that?! All these ‘dreams of flights’ do not anymore need to be via a multitude of connecting flights amongst so many airliners. Just Air Asia Zest and we are good to go!

Now now, isn’t that wonderful?! I believe them: AirAsia Zest, The Right Way to Fly!
