Baybreeze Tacloban

I have lately been passing by this rather new restaurant, so I had to check it out.
Nothing much to shout-to-the-whole-world-about, I guess. I didn't hear it being hyped-up nor did/do I hear it in the Taclobanons' daily buzz. But for you and me who do not cook, yet already (virtually) a resident, any new resto or eatery is worth a peep, right?

So, in I went on a Friday night, primarily just curious, though also looking for dinner.
Well hmmm, the son-of-a-beach in me got somehow titillated by those waverunners and speedboats parked by the entrance path. Conversely, my driver didn't like it as it meant that he had to park our vehicle on the busy streetside of Real St. (Sagkahan)!

In fairness to my driver, Real St. (Sagkahan), is (was?) part of the National Highway, and parking is not even supposed to be allowed on either side. But, this is Pilipinas!

You park outside that fence, by the roadside!


Anyway...

I see that this restaurant is a dainty little place that (mostly) youngsters will like - for the photo-ops, selfies and groupfies that everyone of them (us) like to do everywhere!

Yes, those lighted chairs - in different colors - are somehow interesting...

But not for me and my driver - because our food can't be seen (no overhead lights).

Well there are [only] two tables inside the building (bright and best when it rains)!

But I liked those tables 'on the water' at their boardwalk-like, pier-like portion.
If you notice at right, there is what looks like a wall. That is actually part of Hotel De Fides already (infinity swimming pool up there)! They both face the Cancabato Bay.

Oh, what did I have at Baybreeze Café & Aqua Adventures? This "grilled liempo".
Good eats enough but not for daily visits. This is a medyo upscale restaurant. Mahal!

Who goes to the Sto Nino Shrine without glancing at the People’s Center beside it? Well, during this “revisit”, I did not only want to glance at it, I wanted to roam the place once again. Alright folks, for those not familiar with it, google will help a lot as there too are a lot of descriptions and images of it. The People’s Center actually simultaneously sprouted with the Sto Nino Shrine beside it. Cebu MyBus To Airport

It's my bus, our bus, your bus, their bus, everybody's bus! My oh my bus! I really thought I already did a story about this public transport facility from the Mactan Cebu Airport to the city and back. It turns out, I've just been mentioning this conveyance in my stories, but never a full story about it. Sorry po, tao lang! Great and thanks, one of you my dear readers asked. So here I go with a story on my way to the airport! I walked from Sugbutel to the Radisson Blu / SM City area as this parking area is just beside them. This big wide parking lot is the "main" (start/end) station of the MyBus Service. That big fancy-looking building at the back is Bayfront Hotel . So if you're staying at any hotel near this area, MyBus is for you! In fact, since SM City is easily accessible by direct or connecting jeep routes, this place is very easy to reach. THE BOULEVARD, Surigao City

Virtually everyone in Surigao City is related to this boulevard directly or indirectly! It's such a big thing , they even have a Surigao City Boulevard Development Program and a Surigao City Development Authority . I'm not joking. Those are for real. As in! Involved in it are not only their local politicians but also the chambers of commerce. What is it anyway? Foremost it's a 1.8 kilometer stretch of a highway along the seafront. The concrete pavement tells me it is still new. That is it! Walang basagan ng trip! It is an emulation (kumbaga sa Tagalog pa: gaya-gaya ) of Roxas Boulevard in Manila, or pwede rin Dumaguete’s Rizal Boulevard - and many other seafront boulevards. Aside from being a “park” for the residents, it is supposed to be an attraction in the city, showcasing whatever bla-blah-blah to attract tourists from everywhere on earth.
