After Sagay, I still had time to move northeast of the island, and the next locale is Escalante City.., This was a very short ride. And oh how lovely, I caught an air-conditioned bus again for a 29-peso ride! The deal with my royal self was: wherever nightfall catches up with me, I will stay there for the night! I actually had a feeling that would be in Escalante, so I stayed alert for hotel or resort signs on the road. That picture of a roadside (the bus was still rolling in Sagay) would later prove to be very handy! While it's not my "style", for whatever reason, this time, I didn't reserve any accommodations anywhere. Just "go travel, eat anywhere and sleep anywhere" was the "theme" heheh! Adventure, di ba? I departed from Victorias City, Negros Occidental As said in the previous story , my travel schedule was muddled, because I detoured to see the ' Angry Christ Chapel ' in Victorias, which I did not know about, therefore not part of the itinerary on this trip! But I was not at all disappointed, because I saw and learned about some things new! Anyway, the 'original plan' was to hop to the next town or city going north then east. But, I had to skip the town of Manapla and Cadiz City this time, since I had a 2PM 'eyeball' with a contact at Sagay City. No worries though, since I could still drop by those two places on my return to Silay, then the airport. I already said this in many of my stories.., in Central and Western Visayas, 20 minutes is usually the longest you need to wait, until the next Ceres Bus (or others) pass by. OMG! As in?! Well, not really Him as in HIM (simba ko)! Just the famous chapel in Victorias City, Negros Occidental. Why would He want to see me now anyway, eh I'm a good boy naman, di ba? Please say "yes". Amen !! The name " Church of the Angry Christ " or " Angry Christ Church " intrigued me. So, when a friend (who knew I was in Victorias City) told me to check it out, I did not hesitate to go find it. For curiosity's sake! Asking people at the plaza, many said "ah sa Vicmico " or "ah sa VMC ". I asked what it meant, they told me it means Vicorias Milling Company  - the sugar central of Negros. Wow okay, the "asukal" capital! So, I learned that this church is not near, but everyone I talked-to said 'it is not really far, kailangan lang sadyain' since not many people go there, especially on a noontime.
