Aziza Paradise Hotel Experience

Satisfied and done with the underground river tour , we headed back to Puerto Princesa's city center, to check-in at Aziza Paradise Hotel, for an overnight stay, where our last dinner (party) in Palawan was to be celebrated. Physically exhausted from the tour, all slept (including our tour guides) as our two vans traversed the Puerto Princesa North Road that was many times zero-visibility due to heavy rains. Hah! It took us an hour and 25 minutes (without stops) from the Sabang Boat Terminal to this hotel. Driver told me it could have been faster, but the "zero-visibility" on many parts of the road, due to the pesky downpour, slowed us down a bit. Well, no one was rushing. Everyone was dry and comfortable. Oh.., the comfortable clothes we wore on the van, was due in part to that Aziza front desk girl who did not allow us to drop our bags early in the morning, before we went to the underground river tour. Thus, after the tour (still at Sabang) we chose our most comfy

Puerto Princesa Underground River Tour

After ( 1 , 2 , 3 ) long stories about coming to this place, now it's time to tell you my tour of a cave with a river inside it! Don't be surprised if this isn't that long a story, than the previous three. Madilim kasi eh! Look to where the red arrow points, that is the cave where boats enter. And because this river goes all the way in there (or should I say "comes from there"?), that's the reason why it's called an underground river. This is uniquely the only cave where you (must) sit on a boat while exploring all its dark interiors! Why so? Because its "floor" is deep enough to submerge you! But there must be some shallow parts where humans can stand or walk-on, right? Well, yes there are. In fact, in the past, visitors were allowed to alight from their boats at those shallow portions. But why get off your boat when you don't know what might be waiting for you at those shallow portions, aber? Ayiyiyiiieee, ayaw ko, ayaw! Here here..
