Another Wonderful Day!

Image
Three (3) days ago I flew from Cebu to Tacloban. This afternoon, I flew back-in to Cebu, so I can move onwards to Tagbilaran, tomorrow! Hehehe Bohol again? Ah the rigors of my job that I like oh so much! This flight had to be on a Saturday afternoon, but I had no issues. In fact I expected wonderful views! Just look at the blues, whites and greys in the sky. Plus that hint of amber-to-golden tints from the sun that makes the ground (and even the airplane) look dramatically different! It evokes a sense of drama! Serene... poignant... sentimental... even heartrending... for a melodramatic 'end of day'... ...oist! aminin mo, nadadala ka sa ka-dramahan ng mga sinasabi ko... uto-uto! Hahaha! I don't know, but on a Saturday afternoon, after an exhausting day of activities and land travel from Samar to Leyte, knowing I'll fly back to Cebu where a throbbing nightlife awaits... I feel 'the calm'! Anyway, as we taxied towards TAC RPVA Runway 36 , even Dio Island

Back To Cebu

After that short stint at MOA and my happy stay at Mictrotel MOA , time to head back to Cebu slovakia! This was an uneventful trip, nothing much, except that I, the promdi, noted a few things along the way! I saw interesting things like this JW Diokno Blvd. , which was non-existent the last time I passed here! What I do remember is: this was a "road under construction" where the conyos would hold drag races. On Macapagal Avenue (ah okay, I know this one), we climbed up to a skyway that is 'NAIA X' (I think). Ah, ang ilalim nito alam ko! We just passed by Quirino Ave. cor. MIA Road, Tambo, Paranaque. O ha?! The forking skyway? Left is Electrical Road, right is Sunrise Road papuntang gate ng Concorde Village if you were down at ground level! O, alam nyo ba yan?! Actually, both 'Electrical' and 'Sunrise' run along the side of a creek called 'estero' or 'Baclaran Creek' though its full name is Estero De Tripa De Gallina . FYI,

Thrill, fascination and learnings on a trip don't just happen at the destination, it starts even on the way there. Thus, if you open your senses, many things will be worth your time, even on the same route you may have been doing again and again. And today was one of those days for me. I saw two fighter jets! But let's start at Runway 36 of DZR Airport in Tacloban as I departed yesterday afternoon.., I was not puzzled, but curious at seeing some heavy equipment on the side of the runway, by the sea. Are there rules, protocols or practices to follow when doing civil works beside an active runway? I suppose there must be, right? Like, do they stop moving when an aircraft is about to take-off or land? Or, do workers put on extra gear to protect them from the blasting jet engines? How does it feel there? Just curious, since I know that airports (at the tarmac at least) have very strict rules on where people or equipment may or may not be, when there are actual aircraft passi
