Something Bad in San Antonio

Image
Cant' help but put this as an entire article, perchance the world still be able to do something to stop them, because, in the case of San Antonio, this is still stoppable - Beach Fencing . I was reflecting during the breezy boat ride from San Antonio to Victoria, and in the silence (of the 4 passengers, me included), I got to thinking… did I like this 3D2N trip to the islands? Immediately I told myself “Capul, was an unexpected wow I must go back there for a longer visit”! As for San Antonio, well, I may still go back there – when on the way to Capul hahaha! But, I am curious about Lagbangan and what else I may enjoy especially their attractions at the lagoon surrounded by mangroves. Or maybe I’d be curious if that runway and airport that most everyone are so proud about as coming soon 'would' materialize. As of now, I say, ows?! Guiuan, Borongan and Catbalogan nga all already have runways and airports pero di makakuha ng market, how much more an island that is still a

San Antonio to Victoria

So this was goodbye San Antonio, and I was ready to be back at mainland Samar! 8:58AM of a Tuesday, I was already at the beach area to catch a boat back to Victoria. One has just left, and I still saw it pushing back, loaded with many passengers. I missed it by just a few seconds, I guess. But I was in no hurry. I may have opted not to take that very boat if by chance I arrived at this area earlier. Why? Because, I wanted to observe how things transpire in this place, and, happy I did! Looking around and asking around, it turned out I was one of just three passengers who needed to cross to Victoria. One was an older lady (probably a businesswoman) who was incidentally beside me on a makeshift “waiting bench”, and the other was that sexyish urbanite of a girl w/ a backpack. Okay, so I observed the lively goings-on. Like… I heard it again here (as I've heard while still in Victoria coming to this place), that boats must have a "minimum of 13 passengers" to go . Or e

Strolling Around San Antonio, Northern Samar

This is not a big town center. It just becomes bigger if you include the beach resort areas that is not that long anyway too! Just about 3 kilometers long of white sand beach and an interesting cornucopia of rural life! I even leisurely walked it end to end and back via the beach and sometimes via the road. Fun, getting acquainted with this place! I started from Haven Of Fun going southward, passing by Puro & Seashore Beach Resorts again. Nicer that I did this on a breezy summer afternoon. A relaxing stroll! Here are some noteworthy things I encountered… I grinned seeing this signage. Where the arrow points, is the kitchen of a residence! But yeah, the hospital is that white building behind the yellow-greenish trees. I surmise that this standard DPWH signage originally stood on the roadside but got detached from its post, so the owner of that house made it part of his fence hehe! Yep, the hospital is that compound where the concrete fence does not have iron grills! This

Day 2 At Haven Of Fun, San Antonio

I took this photo the morning after (about 6AM). Nice "texture", right? Sunrise! Like the other two, and like many resorts on this side of the country, the real water-front – that part of the beach touching the water, is lined with the resort’s cottages for day time users (those that do not come to check-in on a room). So any room’s view is them commercial cottages, that as said earlier, are rented out separately! Not an issue during my stay though, since I could have any of them cottages! Mamingaw! Except for that room above the eating area. Yes, it's a room - an attic room! Now that would be what we can call a real "unobstructed sea and sunrise view"! It's this house (building, structure, whatever it is called). That's just 1 room up there. The eating area below is like a restaurant. Probably it is (with a kitchen faaaar away)! Where you see that girl walking, that is the frontage of my room. She's going to their front desk and probably onwa
