Bukidnon Business Hotel

No pun intended, but that, for me, is the most beautiful thing at this hotel. Yes, the façade! Dainty nice logo, right? So for those who like to judge a book by its cover, this hotel easily fits the category's best! I was not, and will not grow fond of this place.., but it was not abhorable either! I guess the fairest that I can say is it's a small hotel in the middle of Malaybaly, therefore an easy walk to anywhere in the city. How about I just show you a photo-album, alright? Hahaha, as usual, when I have nothing to say! This was my room 32.., no windows! And don't demand for a wider shot, I couldn't do it, masikip 'no! You can get a sense of how big or small things are by comparing them. Example? The pillows and the beds, is your pillow as wide as your bed? Bed at right, yosi and gadget case (like a pencil case). Bed at left, the TV remote. On the floor, my weekend backpack - it occupies half the space between the beds! I raised the camera (phone) as high

Malaybalay to Davao Bus Ride

This was planned. That I would not return from Malaybalay to Cagayan De Oro, but proceed instead to Davao City for another dinner-meeting (bisyo na 'to!), before flying back to Cebu, then to Tacloban. But I was not at all concerned as I have done this 'overland' trip before. There are even 2 known ways - via Kapalong and Tagum (5 to 6 hours) or via Kitaotao and Marilog (4 to 5 hours) - both panoramic roads. I was taking the shorter route, as I heard the highway was already spruced up and can be faster. Not that I was in a hurry, but hearing that a road has lately been repaired means it is (probably) also safer. Anyway, let's take off from my last paragraph in the last article . What did I see that "stirred my sanity"; that it even prompted me to hurry back to the hotel in a tricycle instead of finishing my morning walk? It was this bus terminal.., where too many people kept running from bus to bus.., chaotic! There were too many passengers, many were sta

Meandering Malaybalay

Happy to be back in Malaybalay, the capital of Bukidnon Province! What a crowded and colorful day. This was the scene just outside the Bukidnon Business Hotel where I just checked-in. Too many happy people walking the streets! That corner at right is their Rizal Park. But I already knew that this was Kaamulan Day, so I was not complaining. In fact, I was telling my self, if I only knew that today was the festival, I should've arrived yesterday. The "ka-meeting" didn't tell me! I decided to visit the church. I knew from previous visits it's just on the other side of that plaza at right. Here! The San Isidro Cathedral of Malaybalay. But oh, too many people, and service was in progress.., I couldn't possibly squeeze myself in there just to take photos, so I said 'maybe next time na lang'. But I asked myself what could I do or where should I go. I thought maybe I should check out the festival at the capitol grounds. But from my last experience, at abou
