The reason why I made a ' detour ', was to have a glimpse of Digos. So c'mon let's roam around! On arrival at the Digos Overland Transport Terminal, I hailed a tricycle, and told him to tour me around! He at first hesitated then asked me where I wanted to go. I said ' I don't know, you be in-charge of that ', and I trailed it with ' ipasikat mo ang Digos sa akin ', but I qualified that with sa loob lang ng syudad ha? Off we went.., I did not even ask where he was going first. I just sat busy looking left and right hehe! Oops and OMG, I was so excitedly looking at everywhere we passed, I forgot to take pics as I'd usually do. I remembered to do so, only after we've been driving around about 3kms. With that name, you were probably expecting something fancy or a fantabulous destination, right? Well, it is just the “new” top floor of the “G-Mall” in Davao City. Yep, G-Mall as in Gaisano Mall! And “The Peak” is nothing but a conglomeration of some eating places at some kind of a mini-sky-garden. Nothing so special about those eating places situated at The Peak. Except that they’re gathered around a central space with water fountains and a view of the city, the mountains yonder, even Mount Apo on a clear day. Nice enough breather than the usual scenes we see at malls. This place is in fact just outside the mall’s old and usual food court. The Peak is probably Gaisano;s attempt to emulate or imitate the look and feel at the eastern section of Trinoma Mall in Quezon City. This topic started with this article There are 8 towns and let’s be happy we’re counting just the towns and cities cuz if we included the barangays, there are hundreds of them named San Isidro! 1st is the town in the province of Isabela (Region 2). This San Isidro is a farming community though it has Santiago City as a neighbor. Going a little bit down to the province of Nueva Ecija is our 2nd San Isidro and it is also a farming community that touches the borders with Bulacan and Tarlac. You’d be happy to note that this San Isidro has for a very short while been the capital of the country. Yes, the capital of the Philippines! This town fares well in history. This topic started with this article One is not actually a town but a region - composed of 5 provinces, 3 cities and 72 towns. Caraga (mostly written as CARAGA) is the name of the 13th Region which is the northeastern Mindanao area, right?! But don't get confused. CARAGA is not a portmanteau as are MIMAROPA or CALABARZON. The word Caraga traces its roots from Kalagans. But is that it? NO! Because farther straight down in Davao Oriental, there is this town that actually bears the name Caraga! Oh this town greets the sunrise usually ahead than most of us, as it is in the easternmost tip of the country! Ah the area around this town is off the beaten tourist path but teems with views from mountains to seas!
